Hi, i am currently studying the DTLLS course which is a 2 year teacher training course. Part of this asks me to contribute to this discussion forum regarding an observation i did with another tutor within my specialist subject which is Floristry. As i am completely new to this career, i really found it helped to watch an experienced tutor, i learned to be more confident which relaxes the other learners, and to be prepared for differentiation within the class, as one learner was particularly quicker in her practical, and as all the fresh flowers had been used, she was then given the task to wire and tape some silk flowers - this was also cost effective as well as reducing any disruptive behaviour that may have started. It would be really great to hear from any other tutors from their experiences from teaching floristry. Many thanks.
